As you should know, Earth Day is celebrated on April 22nd every year. This year's theme is "Invest In Our Planet".
Earth Day is celebrated internationally to show support for environmental protection. This covers topics like pollution, sustainability, and safer industry regulations across the board.
Why should you care? And why is this important to us?
Well- environmental sustainability is one of our pillars here at Red Sun Aromatherapy. We strive to do our part in creating a green Earth by making eco-friendly and sustainable candles. Some of these steps include the type of wax we use, our wicks, fragrance oils and even giving customers the opportunity to return their jars.
This Earth Day, we are challenging you, our readers, to make sustainable choices for the next week (just to start). You can make small, personal changes like refusing a straw, carrying around your own water bottle and cutlery, and even cooking more meals at home, as you, the consumers, get to choose what you want to consume and contribute in this world. You have to take a stand and demand change, such as sustainable energy & agriculture, plant & animal conservation and plastic free products.
Other changes can be growing your fruits and veggies, parking and walking or taking the city shuttle, and having a capsule wardrobe.
This is the only planet we may have and it's time we started taking care of it.
